In case you were curious as to the cause of the drought of esprit updates as of late, I am feverishly working on giving Apis’ site a much-needed facelift. You may preview the new site at http://v6.apisnetworks.com/. Feel free to leave any usability remarks in the comments section of the blog.

Look for it to appear sometime in July during the six year anniversary of Apis.

Apis redesign on the horizon

It’s looking good, my only complaints would be that the drop-down menus are a tad too slow for my tastes and the ‘Terms of Service’ and ‘Acceptable Use’ text are really light and hard to read on my monitor. The text on the espirit login panel on the right should be sharpened too. Maybe you could do this login panel like a modal popup?

    A definite improvement though.

Thanks for the feedback. I have killed the menu delay and changed the font on the right login panel. All the page headers (Order, AUP, TOS, About Us, etc…) are too light? They look fine on all of the monitors I have viewed them on, LCDs no CRTs. A modal popup is more elegant, but at the same time I want to make sure people see it. I have seen many customers try logging into the control panel by clicking the demo account, then become confused when the server rejects them.
